23 Schools, 600 Students, One Goal: The Road to the EPAS National Quiz Final Begins
Across Malta and Gozo, the spirit of European democracy, teamwork, and knowledge is once again taking centre stage as 23 schools prepare for one of the most anticipated milestones of the academic year - the EPAS National Quiz Semi-Final and Final, which will take place on 14 April at Sacred Heart School.

Across Malta and Gozo, the spirit of European democracy, teamwork, and knowledge is once again taking centre stage as 23 schools prepare for one of the most anticipated milestones of the academic year - the EPAS National Quiz Semi-Final and Final, which will take place on 14 April at Sacred Heart School.
In the lead-up to this national event, each participating school organised its own local selection quiz, bringing students together to compete for a place on their school’s official EPAS team. These internal contests were more than just quizzes - they were dynamic and engaging experiences that highlighted students’ enthusiasm and commitment to European topics.
In total, over 600 Junior Ambassadors participated in these local rounds, demonstrating an impressive level of knowledge of the European Union, its institutions, values, and current affairs. From lively debates to fast-paced quiz rounds, students rose to the challenge, all with a shared ambition: to represent their school at national level.
Following these selections, 23 teams - one from each school - will now advance to the next stage of the competition. On 14 April, they will come together at Sacred Heart School, last year’s national winners, to compete in the EPAS National Quiz Semi-Final and Final.
At stake is not only the title of EPAS National Winner for the 2025–2026 scholastic year, but also the opportunity to represent their school and be recognised among Malta’s most engaged and informed young Europeans.
The EPAS programme continues to empower students to actively engage with European democracy by fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of the European Union’s role in their daily lives. The journey to the final already stands as a testament to the programme’s growing impact - bringing together schools, educators, and students in a shared commitment to learning and active participation.
As anticipation builds, all eyes are now set on 14 April - where knowledge, teamwork, and a passion for Europe will take centre stage.
