EPAS Quiz Semi-Final takes place at Europe House

On Monday 28 April, EPLO Valletta hosted the semi-final of the EPAS quiz at Europe House, Valletta.

On Monday 28 April, the European Parliament Liaison Office in Malta hosted the semi-final of the EPAS (European Parliament Ambassador School) quiz in Europe House, Valletta.

The knowledge based quiz is designed to raise awareness among students about European democracy, the role of the European Parliament and the values of the European Union. Prior to the semi-final, students had competed at their various schools, and the winning groups represented their schools at Europe House.

The schools that participated were; National Sport School, St. Ignatius College, St. Dorothy’s School, St Thomas More College (Carlo Diacono Secondary School), St. Joseph’s School, St. Edwards College, St. Martin’s College and St. Clare’s College (Pembroke Secondary School).

There was a very high standard displayed and all students were extremely enthusiastic, showcasing their knowledge about the European Union through a number of rounds.

Ultimately, four teams were successful in progressing to the highly anticipated annual final of the EPAS Quiz where they will compete against each other and six other teams that have been previously selected.

The final will be held in Valletta on Europe Day, 9 May. The overall winning team will have the exciting opportunity to participate in a Euroscola trip to Strasbourg.
