EPLO Valletta welcomes freshers at the University of Malta Students discover opportunities to engage with the European Parliament during Freshers’ Week 2026. From 5 to 9 October, the European Parliament Liaison Office in Valletta participated in Freshers’ Week at the University of Malta, welcoming a steady flow of first-year students to its stand. An annual appointment in EPLO Valletta’s calendar, Freshers’ Week provides an opportunity to connect with young people as they begin university life and introduce them to the European Parliament and the opportunities it offers. At the stand, students discovered together.eu, Schuman traineeships, youth programmes and initiatives, exploring ways to become involved, gain experience and make their voices heard. These exchanges encouraged students to broaden their horizons beyond the national context and consider their role in European democratic life. Students also watched a virtual address by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, bringing a European perspective to the start of their university journey.
