Europe Day celebrations in Gozo

Europe Day celebrations are approaching!
Europe Day, celebrated annually on the 9th May, marks the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, a vision for peace and unity in post-war Europe. The European Parliament Liaison Office in Malta is excited to celebrate this special day with a series of activities that will promote European sentiment and values among the Maltese.
The first activity is being held this weekend, on Saturday 3rd May, at Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria. It will start at 10AM and it is organised by Europe Direct Gozo.
EU information providers will be present in the event, offering the public insights about their roles and the services they offer. It will be a great opportunity to learn about what they do and why it is important for Europe. There will also be presentations about a number of ongoing EU-funded projects which will let us learn more about how the EU is helping Malta improve across all sectors.
Afterwards, The Visual and Performing Arts School Gozo will be performing for the delight of the public. Featuring drama, dance, visual art, and music, including a live ensemble performance, this performance will highlight the talent of Gozitans.
This event is being held in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo and the Cultural Heritage Directorate, as part of the Gozo Spring Fair activities. We can’t wait to see you in Gozo this Saturday!
