32 students and 8 teachers from participating Maltese schools came together ahead of their trip to Rome

Students and teachers gathered at Europe House, Valletta, watching a video message by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola

In the lead-up to EPAS Together 2025 in Rome, the European Parliament Liaison Office (EPLO) in Valletta welcomed 32 students and 8 teachers from participating Maltese schools to a warm and informal breakfast at Europe House. This pre-event gathering provided an opportunity for students and educators to connect, share expectations, and prepare for the exciting programme ahead.

During the session, Youth Correspondent Odette Camilleri Bonett guided participants through the full itinerary, from departure in Malta to their return, and shared a special video message from European Parliament President Roberta Metsola. The morning was filled with lively discussions, networking, and a relaxed atmosphere over food and drinks.

Three Junior Ambassadors - Gabriele Farrugia Bonello, Nicholas Frank Sammut, and Nikons Vasnins who participated in EPAS Together 2023 in Cyprus, also shared their reflections and key takeaways. Their insights offered inspiration and motivation for this year’s participants ahead of their collaborative activities with peers from Italy and Cyprus.

The gathering concluded with a group photo featuring the flags of Cyprus, Italy, Malta, and the EU, proudly displayed on the Europe House terrace. Participants were also introduced to the “My Rome Experience” Video Challenge, encouraging them to creatively document their journey and experiences in Rome.
