On the 28th March, EPLO Valletta participated in and supported the annual International Women’s Day collaboration between SHE: Social Hub Entrepreneurs and Malta Chamber of SMEs, which brought together over 100 women in business in an open and frank exchange of good practice, difficulties and feedback.
The morning kicked off with a powerful keynote address by Ms Rebecca Bonnici, CEO at BELS English Language Schools, focusing on leadership that is lived and lessons that are learned through growth, resilience, and evolution and opening doors for others.
This was followed by a series of simultaneous workshops each hosted by an individual trainer dealing with the practical issues around:
- Pricing With Confidence
- Referrals That Actually Convert
- Building Recurring Revenue
- Speaking & Showing Up With Authority
- Storytelling That Builds Trust
- Difficult Conversations Made Easier
- Sustainable Leadership (Without Burnout)
- Systems That Save 10 Hours a Week
- Financial Literacy for Founders
Ms Elaine Cordina, Public Relations Officer at EPLO Valletta, closed the morning with a reference to this year’s Women’s Day debate in the European Parliament and with a particular emphasis on the address of Jackie Fox, an Irish mother, who appealed to the MEPs to extend the successfully adopted cyberbullying laws in Ireland to the rest of Europe. This was a clear example of how women could make an impact in a European Parliament that creates a space for doing so.
